Questions about our electrical services

Which electrical service should I choose for my enquiry?

Choose the service closest to the issue or intended improvement. If you are unsure, describe the symptoms, affected rooms and equipment in the contact enquiry. We can discuss whether the job needs fault finding, an installation assessment or a broader scope.

Can Apexelec help with small repairs as well as larger projects?

Yes. You can enquire about one fitting or outlet, several maintenance items, or a coordinated renovation or fitout. List the tasks clearly and distinguish urgent defects from optional improvements so priorities and access can be established.

How much will the electrical work cost?

The task, condition of the installation, materials, access and testing affect the quote. Ask what any initial assessment covers and how additional work is authorised. Product details and accessible photos help establish a useful starting scope without assuming one price suits every property.

Can several services be included in one quote?

Yes. Power, lighting, data, charging and other listed services can be considered together. Each part may have different equipment, credentials and permissions, so the combined quote should still explain what is included and who is responsible for related work.

What information should I provide when requesting a quote?

Include your suburb, property type, task list, relevant models and accessible photos. Add plans for renovation work and the authorised contact for rental or shared property. Do not remove covers or expose wiring to gather information.

How do I know the electrician is qualified for the job?

Check the current electrical licence through the NSW licensing process. Some work also needs communications registration, security licensing or accredited connection-work credentials. Ask about the qualifications relevant to the actual scope rather than assuming one credential covers every listed system.

Can a landlord, property manager or strata contact arrange work?

Yes. Provide the authorised scope, approval status and occupant access arrangements. Shared infrastructure and property alterations can have additional permission requirements. Identify who approves further work and receives completion records before the booking is agreed.

Will electrical work interrupt the power?

Some work requires isolation of a circuit, while other tasks affect the broader supply. The expected interruption depends on the installation and scope. Tell us about essential equipment and occupied areas so access and isolation can be discussed before booking.

Should I use the form for an electrical emergency?

Call 0408 380 979 to confirm urgent availability. The form prepares an email draft and is not an emergency dispatch service. For smoke, fire, injury or immediate danger, call 000; report shocks and tingles immediately to the electricity distributor.

What documents should I receive after installation or repairs?

Retain the quote, invoice and required customer CCEW copy for electrical installation work. Communications cabling also has its own compliance statement. Confirm any agreed equipment instructions, test records and outstanding recommendations so the completed scope is documented.
